Nicholls Boreholes were chosen by Ecovision Systems, one of the UK’s leading renewables installers, for a GSHP project at Orchard House School, Chiswick. We were asked to drill 1000 metres of borehole, then supply and install the probes and the external pipework for Ecovision to connect to when installing their ground source heat pump.
Our original proposal was to install 5 x 200m GSHP boreholes. After our own detailed geophysical survey, this scheme was subsequently revised to 7 boreholes x 143m.
This project needed to be completed to tight time restraints as the works had to be undertaken while the school was closed for summer holidays. Good co-ordination with other contractors was essential and this, combined with our usual extremely exacting standards of project management, ensured that the work was completed on time and on budget.
Nicholls Boreholes is based in West Sussex and is one of the UK’s most established and expert GSHP drilling companies. We also drill cathodic protection boreholes, well water boreholes, ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems, soakaway boreholes and deep bore soakaways throughout the UK.
Nicholls Boreholes covers a large area of the South, including West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, London, Kent, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Middlesex and other areas of the UK and have drilled in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
