At Poppinghole Farm Nicholls Boreholes installed two ground source heat pump systems. System one, installed in 2010, consisted of 5 boreholes for a 22kW NIBE ground source heat pump and we also supplied and installed the underfloor heating system. This provided heating and hot water for the four holiday cottages and barn conversion and also provided hot water to the stables. The swimming pool in the spa is also heated by the GSHP, along with the plunge pool and jaccuzi.
We drilled and installed a water borehole to provide drinking water to the holiday cottages, stables and water for the swimming pools.
System two, installed in 2011, consisted of 3 boreholes for a 15kW NIBE ground source heat pump to provide heating and hot water to the main house. We now have an ongoing maintenance service agreement with the farm. Poppinghole Farm is currently receiving payments for commercial RHI.
‘In 2010 Nicholls Boreholes supplied and installed a ground source heat pump system with boreholes and underfloor heating for our holiday cottages and spa. They then returned in 2011 to supply and install a ground source heat pump system with boreholes for our main house. They also drilled and installed a water borehole and filtration system to provide water to our whole property.
We have been very pleased with the professional service that we were given. The heat pump works extremely well and we would have no problem in recommending them to other customers.’
