GSHP case study - Billingshurst West Sussex

We were contacted by our Client to provide a quotation for the installation and supply of a Ground Source Heat Pump system with a view replacing their old boiler and obtaining revenue through the Government’s Domestic Renewable Heating Incentive (R.H.I.).

We supplied and installed a 20kW Kensa (3 phase) Ground Source heat pump having calculated the requirement, drilled 4 x 120 metre deep boreholes for the probes that extract heat from the ground. These were grouted in and connected to an external manifold.

The house is a 300 year old property so we upgraded and integrated the new Ground Source heat pump to work with their existing system with some additional and upgraded radiators.

As a result of installing this Kensa system at a cost of £42k, the client has been awarded over £60k return over a period of 7 years through the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme.

We contacted Nicholls Boreholes to install a Ground Source Heat Pump System in our house to replace our old oil boiler system. We had seen a Ground Source Heat Pump that they had installed a few years ago for a friend. We would be happy to recommend them to other people – they were tidy and very efficient.  Mr H, Billingshurst, West Sussex
