Following a refurbishment and building of a new extension to a beautiful house in Northchapel, completed by our sister company, Nicholls Countryside Construction Ltd, Nicholls Boreholes were requested to quote for a ground source heat pump (GSHP) using horizontal collectors for their client.
After undertaking and completing a full design, we installed a NIBE Kw heat pump to supply heating and hot water to their entire house and underfloor heating for their ground floor. As MCS Accredited installers, we were able to issue them with an MCS Compliance Certificate which enables them to claim for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) should they wish to for their GSHP.
Horizontal collectors were chosen rather than drilling a borehole as this particular client could utilise unused land that they had.
Nicholls Boreholes are also supplying them with an on-going Service Agreement for their GSHP and UFH which is our standard practice for anyone having a ground source heat pump and Underfloor Heating installed by us.
