In February 2017 Kier Services, part of the Kier Group, contracted Nicholls Boreholes to drill and install a 210 metre water borehole at Kingsley Vale National Nature Reserve to provide irrigation for their cattle troughs. They also supplied a plant room; a 10,000 litre water storage tank and a back-up generator.

Nicholls also installed solar UV panels to provide power to run the waterwell along with over 2000 metres of distribution water pipe and animal drinking troughs.
