For nearly 20 years Richard has worked closely with our Construction clients. Richard and his team take pride in delivering a complete service from design through to completion, applying the same proven formula and integrity to every project.  Richard’s team of highly qualified staff and contractors always leave our clients impressed with the service and quality of finish we provide.

Sean Millgate

Finance Director

Sean is a chartered accountant, having more than 30 years experience as a finance director in the Property Development and Construction sector, covering both medium-sized and quoted companies.  Having joined Nicholls in September 2024, his experience in financing structures and solutions, legal and organisational skills will provide added value to the continuing growth and ethos of Nicholls.

Hannah Pasfield

Human Resources Director

Having joined Nicholls in 2007, Hannah is a key part of the team with a wealth of experience.  Over the years her role has evolved and she currently has a dual role; as Human Resource Director with overall responsibility for HR, Payroll and IT together with a Project Management role within the Construction team.

Mark Aylwin

Waterwell Director

Mark plays a key role at Nicholls Boreholes having worked across many different aspects of the company since 2005. Mark’s wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience ensures that our waterwell systems are installed to the highest possible standards.

Tom Giersz

Ground Source Director

Tom is a key part of the team having come to work at Nicholls Boreholes in 2014 as a Design Engineer and has been recently promoted to Ground Source Director responsible for renewable heating, enabling Nicholls Boreholes to offer our clients a superior service.

Jeff Reid

Licensing & Consulting Director

Jeff joined Nicholls in March 2019 and is responsible for pre and full Environmental Agency Abstraction/Discharge and Licence Compliance Licences for commercial and domestic clients. This also includes water source Heat Pump Licensing and Open Loop Ground Source Heat Pump Licences. Jeff ensures that your licensing needs are accomplished and you remain compliant.

Simon Trimmer

General Manager-Boreholes

Simon is the General Manager of the Boreholes team, with a wealth of operational and senior management experience gained across a variety of specialist construction related sectors. With a commitment to continuous improvement, a focus on developing teams and setting standards. A strong advocate of the Nicholls values, ensuring that business performance and customer experience are at the forefront of what we do.

Charlotte Whittington

Financial Controller

Charlotte joined Nicholls in October 2023 as Financial Controller.  She brings with her a wealth of experience in Accounts, with a solid background in the Construction industry.

Outside of work Charlotte enjoys travelling, eating out and trips to the theatre.

Jo Geddes

Office & Enquiries Manager

Jo started working at Nicholls in 2015, initially as PA to Ben Nicholls and is now responsible for a large proportion of the estimating process.  In 2022 Jo became Enquiries & Office Manager, heading up this brand-new function of the Borehole Division, with initial sole focus on the customer journey for new and existing customers interested in the product range that we offer.  Jo is the perfect person for this job as her cheerful character has earnt her the name of “The Happiness & Well-being Department”! If you’re a potential client please pick up the phone and speak to Jo on 01403 820750 (option 2).  Jo’s primary objective centres around providing tailored, intelligent responses to customer enquiries, and managing the customer journey, prior to handing over to the operations team.

Nina Clyde

PA to Ben Nicholls

Nina joined Nicholls in November 2022 and works closely with Ben Nicholls as his PA.  Nina has over 27 years’ experience as a PA mostly in the charitable sector.

Simon Parsons

Senior Project Manager

Simon joined the company in early 2021 as a Project Manager, with responsibility for client liaison and project management across all Waterwells projects, ensuring they run as smoothly as possible for our clients.  Simon’s background is in the water feature industry and bespoke metalwork. Simon has recently been promoted to Senior Project Manager overseeing our team of Project Managers.

Dan Harrison

Project Manager

A real all rounder with a practical nature Dan joined Nicholls in March 2021 as a Project Manager having most recently worked as an Estates Director at the Charter Educational Trust in Dulwich. Prior to that Dan was a self-employed Builder and Project Manager.

Elodie Burgess

Project Manager

Elodie joined Nicholls in March 2018 as part of our Installations team responsible for scheduling and the procurement of system parts.  After some time in this role, Elodie was promoted to Project Manager.  Elodie’s outgoing personality makes her a popular member of the team and excellent at customer liaison.

George Parker

Project Manager

Joining Nicholls in 2023 as a Project Manager, George specialises in Waterwell projects for commercial and domestic clients. Having started his career in Accountancy and most recently having worked as a Contracts Manager in the building industry, he has managed a broad spectrum of commercial and high-end projects and has an eye for numbers.

Tim Holland

Drilling Technical Manager

Tim is an established and valued employee who started working for Nicholls Boreholes in 2009 as a tool pusher. He was soon promoted to Lead Driller and then Drilling Manager looking after all 4 of our drilling crews and in charge of onsite customer liaison. Tim’s role evolved in 2022 to Drilling Technical Manager, ensuring that all site operations are safely planned and efficiently executed working with the Project Managers and Drilling Team. Ensuring full adherence to the Company’s Health and Safety and Environment policies and procedures. Tim will continue to carry out Health and Safety Audits, site visits and meeting with our valued clients.

Marc Livesley

Drilling Manager

Marc joined Nicholls in 2009 as a Lead Driller and specialises in the drilling of steel lined water wells.  After being promoted to Drilling Manager in 2023 Marc now supports the Drilling Crews and Project Managers with all things drilling: from pre job site visits to onsite management and support, as well as running his own rig and crew.

Emma Kenny

Drilling Operations Manager

Emma joined the company in 2010 to help with the administrative function of the Borehole division and she has played a key role in improving and modernising our processes. Emma’s experience and capability has seen her role naturally evolve from Coordinator into managing and leading the drilling department, with a promotion to Drilling Operations Manager in October 2022.

Alina Cornea

Installation Manager

Alina is an accomplished professional with 20 years of experience in management and customer service.  She holds a BSc Honours degree in Business Management and is a certified Project Manager. Alina started her career as a regional manager in FMCG and later moved to the UK to lead different teams in the retail industry.

With a proven track record in selling premium products and managing projects, she brings intercultural skills and an international mindset to the team.  She is skilled in negotiation, stakeholder management, and team leadership.

Outside of work, Alina enjoys hiking, running and travel.

Ania Slubowska

Service Coordinator

Ania joined Nicholls in November 2023 as Neutrality Coordinator.  She has now joined our dedicated servicing and maintenance team as Service Coordinator.

She has a wide range of international experience, working in Poland Spain, and Germany.  Ania is passionate about new concepts in sustainable strategies and is interested in the impact of climate change.

In her spare time, Ania paints with acrylics and enjoys hiking, climbing, and surfing.

Jed Pilmoor-Brady

Purchasing & Stock Manager

Jed joined Nicholls in September 2020, as an installation engineer. Recently, he started as our Purchasing & Stock Manager to streamline the stock management process. He has a broad range of experience, construction, taxation and maritime operations. In his spare time, Jed competes in motorcycle racing and is a former British champion!

Rebecca Shephard

Adminstrator

Rebecca has worked for Nicholls since 2008 as an Adminstrator and has been part of the continued expansion within the office supporting HR.

Adam Hardiman

CAD Designer

Adam joined Nicholls in January 2024 as a CAD Designer.  He has a wide range of experience – as an electrician, bespoke lighting engineer, CAD technician and dive master.  In his spare time Adam is a musician and composer.

Tobias Chaproniere

Design Engineer

Toby joined our team in 2023 as a skilled heat pump engineer. His technical expertise and dedication quickly became evident, recently earning him an opportunity to join the design team. Toby’s innovative approach and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset in developing efficient and sustainable heating solutions for our clients.

Graham Reid

Licensing Manager

Graham is a Licensing Manager responsible for completing pre and full Environmental Agency abstraction license applications for commercial and domestic clients.  This also includes water source heat pump licensing and open loop ground source heat pump licences.

Abbie Woodward

Licensing Manager

Abbie joined Nicholls Licensing & Consulting Team in June 2024 as a Licencing Manager, with a background of mathematics. She is responsible for completing pre and full Environmental Agency abstraction license applications for commercial and domestic clients.  This also includes closely with the Environment Agency to ensure clients are compliant. In her spare time, Abbie rides her horse and walks her cocker spaniel.

Tracie Anderson

Licensing Operations Manager

Tracie joined our growing team in September 2018 to help with all areas of administration within the Borehole Division. She now works with Jeff Reid on License Compliance Licenses for domestic and commercial clients. This includes Abstraction Licenses, Discharge Permits and License Compliance. Tracie works closely with the Environment Agency to ensure clients are compliant.

Installation Team

We currently operate 4 installation teams providing a variety of services for water boreholes and ground source heat pump systems.

Drilling Team

Our 4 Drilling Crews are supported by our own transport division and fitter. Having completed over 3,500 boreholes to date, our drillers have a vast experience in all geologies and delivering a safe, tidy and efficient service.

Service Engineers

Servicing Manager and Service Engineers

Nicholls designated Service Department is able to offer off site monitoring of your system, along with providing a suitable on site maintenance programme/contract for all your system needs whether your system was installed by us or another contractor.

Louise Draisey

Accounts Manager-Boreholes & Licensing

Louise joined Nicholls in July 2019 to co-ordinate newly awarded Contracts and the associated finances.  Louise has proven success in Finance having worked in this field for the past 9 years. Louise is a popular member of the team and we all know she loves a spreadsheet!

Lindsay Wisniewski

Human Resources & Payroll

Lindsay joined the company in early 2020, with responsibility for HR and Payroll.  She has years of experience working with people within a variety of leadership roles and enjoys the people engagement within her role.  Lindsay recognises that HR Coordination is vital to support the company by having a strong understanding of the organisations priorities and challenges, and to assist in the development of its employees, and to play a part in influencing strategic business decisions.

Lindsay ensures skillful people management strategies are in place to help shape and regulate the organisation’s culture and consequently its future, and recognises, “A company is only as good as its employees.”

She supports the growth and development of the company by being involved in multiple functions such as recruitment and selection, training and development, attracting and retaining the best people for the team, employee welfare and employment law, employer branding, and change management, to employee relations, contracts of employment, complaints and grievances, employee rights, appraisals, and health and safety and of course making sure everyone gets paid on time!

Elizabeth Hallett

IT/CRM Coordinator

Liz joined Nicholls in December 2022.  Her role is varied and includes IT/CRM coordination across the Company, rolling out new technology initiatives and IT troubleshooting.
