Objective
To overcome the difficulty gaining planning permission due to water neutrality in the Sussex North Water Resource Zone, Nicholls needed to provide our client with a solution to overcome water neutrality on a site held up for nearly 2 years.
About the project
One of our local developers working with Nicholls has successfully obtained planning for 8 properties within the Sussex North Water Resource Zone using water credits obtained by installing suitable water offsetting measures on third party land.
Not only did the developer benefit from this arrangement, but also the offsetting site gained from greatly reduced ongoing water costs and a capital injection for their business.
At Nicholls we have a bank of water credits for other promoters and developers to acquire so they can resolve their water neutrality issues within Horsham, South Downs, Crawley and Chichester Local Planning Authorities.
