Objective
The club wanted to be less reliant on a mains water supply so instructed us to install a water borehole through an irrigation company we work with closely, Irritech Limited. Our objectives were to provide a reliable supply of water which could fill an existing storage tank that the club use to irrigate the course.
Many golf courses have recognised the benefits of having a water borehole to supply their irrigation as this is far more economical and allows more control over a mains water supply. As mains water prices
continue to increase our client will continue to see savings year on year.
About The Project
Nicholls commenced works in April 2021 and completed the installation by the end of June 2021.
After conducting a prognosis report and looking at the local geology as well as other boreholes in the area the drilling commenced. The well itself was installed successfully with minimal disruption to the
club and players. The test pumping confirmed that the client would be able to extract the required amount of water without any issues. After receiving the water sample results from the laboratory the system was designed, equipment ordered and installed as scheduled.
