Drilling Assistant
Join our drilling team as an assistant, working alongside experienced engineers on borehole projects across the South East.
About the Role
An excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in the borehole drilling industry. As a Drilling Assistant you will work alongside our experienced engineers on a variety of water supply and ground source heat pump borehole projects.
You will learn:
- Drilling rig operation and maintenance
- Borehole construction techniques (rotary and cable percussion)
- Pump installation and testing
- Site safety procedures
- Geological logging and sampling
Full training will be provided. This role suits someone practical, reliable, and keen to learn a skilled trade.
Requirements
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and work away from home occasionally
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one)
- No previous drilling experience required — full training provided
