Objective
As part of an extensive high end refurbishment of a country property by the Nicholls Countryside Construction team, our client wanted to be as sustainable as possible with the installation of a long lasting renewable energy heating system.
About the project
During the full refurbishment, the Nicholls installation team worked closely with their sister company to install 2 Ground Source Heat Pump systems at the property. The property required a 28kW system to maintain a constant 21° within the Grade II listed building, even if the external temperature drops to –3° for a long period.
Our in house Design team designed a system where we installed 2 independent GSHP systems for different parts of the property due to the layout of the property. One of the systems also heats the outdoor pool during the summer, enabling the client to completely move away from using oil. The heating distribution was achieved through underfloor heating on the ground floor of the property and radiators on the first floor.
Our client continues to benefit from Nicholls Servicing and Maintenance and a 7 year heat pump GHSP warranty.
