Each closed loop system is individually designed, taking into account the amount of heat required for the building, geology on site, space available and most suitable heat pump for the property. We have been designing and installing closed loop systems for over 14 years. These can be some of the most efficient renewable heating systems available and are suitable for residential and commercial properties.
As every project is individual, please contact us to discuss your design.
Golf courses
Schools and universities
Sports and leisure facilities
Farms and fields
Nurseries and garden centres
Private residences
At Nicholls our approach is the same for every project. having installed well over 450 GSHP systems with boreholes. We will ask you for information regarding the heat loss of the building/property. We will then consider the appropriate heat pump size and run hours (you may be able to provide this for us) and review the geology including saturation which will enable us to calculate how many metres of collector is required in that geology and this will help us understand better the depths of each borehole required. We also look at the proximity of the boreholes to each other to ensure the long term performance of the system. This process is one of the most important processes for your project and is often overlooked by a heat pump installers who does not understand the complexities of the geology below our site.
Please contact our in house design team to discuss your requirements.
